Aims & Ethos

"With God, there is no limit to what you can do. There is no obstacle you can't overcome. Through Him all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

Our St James family has aspirations for every single child to succeed.

We believe in the importance of Christian values in all aspects of school life.

Our children learn through a creative and inspirational curriculum.

Through working together we achieve our goals and take the first steps on the path to our dreams.

'Dream, believe, learn, achieve'

Our School Values

Our Christian values reflect the nature of our school and show how we want members of our school community to live their lives. We focus on each value per half term. We teach our children about these Christian values through our collective worship, but more importantly we teach them how to live the values through every aspect of their lives.

Our Christian values are:

  • Respect

  • Peace

  • Love

  • Forgiveness

  • Honesty

  • Hope

Meet our Ethos Team

We are the Ethos leaders of St James Church of England Primary School. We support in school by leading Worship sessions, attending Ethos club, working with others, creating videos to share across our Multi Academy Trust and helping to develop the prayer life of pupils and staff in school. Through our Ethos group, we help others to understand more about our school's Christian values and how children and adults can apply these values in their everyday lives.
